I like Nomata's paintings, which seem to show future architecture. The keen and sophisticated appearance is very spiritual, I think. The solid atmosphere has divine beauty. I felt that it rejects all of the trashy bonds around us.

Akahane and Otake show their unique world. Their paintings in this show are like allegory. They may express the innocent mind, or delicate sense of theirselves. We are in complicated and ripe world, and have to struggle with unreasonable things, their works seem to laugh it away.

I saw a 2009 German-Austrian documentary film, which follows a piano tuner from the piano company Steinway & Sons "Stefan Knüpfer" in Austria. Anyway his enthusiasm for piano is impressive. He seems to enjoy the severe and hard demand from pianists, and have a certain confidence to his ability. His passion as a tuner is really beautiful. The beauty in the carrier, I don't have it....

Oh Chi Gyun is a korean artist. He shows strong oil paintings. His subject is landscape of the country side. Cezanne, Gogh, he uses those strong clear color and rich paints, which seem to be a little classical. The painting in president room, or waiting room of company, I imaged such situation.

Konishi shows portraits of her little son. I've liked her portraits, which have something story. I love to image each stories.
In this show, her son is expressed with peaceful air. It doesn't her private story. I could enjoy as if I saw my photo collection. The happiness in everyday life, I also could have happy time.

Fukaumi's paintings look like 3D. Flat surface, illustratable air, and clear line show the hidden parts of each objects, I felt so. Invisible things are expressed as the sade, even plain expression can show the depth, it is interesting.

The glass works seem to be accessory for gigantic alien. They are so lovely, I remembered plastic accessory for children which I used to wear in my childhood. The reflection by light is very imprssive, and expand the scale of work.

Asakusa is always crowded for sightseeing!! Now radio tower "Tokyo Sky Tree" is the center of attention. Everybody takes photo. But I don't think that the figure is beautiful. I love Tokyo Tower which is current radio tower.

This exhibition is composed from the "achievements of the Japanese Government Overses Study Program for Artist". I don't know how artists were seleced as national students, but I didn't think that the works are national class.
I felt that each works are very well-mannered works. But I could not find something ambition, wicked air at all. Old fashioned... so..., at last boring for me.

Tokyo Wonder Site Hongo shows the winner's works of competition for emerging curator. Though I have seen this annual program from the first show, I have been disappointed with the lack of philosophy in works. I could not feel what curators want to show.
The works in this year also don't have certain philosophy. I heard that almost works are by artists theirselves, curation is a valanced cllection of various conceptional works, I think. Curation needs sophisticated interpretation and explanation for each artists.

In this show, Ashikaga's photos using pinhole camera was attractive for me. He took the scenery of devastated area by that earthquake. I felt like seeing the scenery through my eyes. The change of each scenes is like closing eyelid. The black-and-white quiet scenes are just from eyes of GOD. I was struck with awe.
